Pastor Mark Biel - Lead Pastor
My wife, Pam, and I have been leading Rock of Grace Family Ministries since 1992. We have seen many changes at Rock of Grace in the course of the past 17 years, but one thing has remained constant: God is faithful. That is true of our personal lives as well. We were called into full-time ministry in 1982. In preparation, I attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, graduating in the spring of 1985. We began pastoring a church in Ruskin, Florida in July of that same year and continued until coming to Rock of Grace in the spring of 1992. Rock of Grace is a rural church, unattached to any one community, but its influence reaches a community-at-large with the hope and love of Jesus Christ in a very intimate, tangible way.
I have a passion to see men become strong men of God and lead their families. I am also a Police Chaplain, certified through the International Conference of Police Chaplains, and work with the local department, offering friendship and assistance during times of crisis. I have completed accredited courses through the American Association of Christian Counselors to be prepared to give an emergency response in critical incidents of violence or disaster. I am not a storm chaser, but I guess you could say I want to be ready for storms and available to offer hope and faith. And, curiously, I enjoy re-enacting great circuit preachers of the late 1800's. Give me a horse and a timeless message and I am off!
Pam and I love serving the body of Christ together, sharing the joys and sorrows of God's people. We have 4 married children, all of whom love the Lord and serve Him faithfully. Our son, Jordan, is serving with us at Rock of Grace as our Worship and Youth Pastor. Participating in his call to ministry is an incredible added blessing that we are deeply thankful for. We are excited about the opportunities and challenges that each day brings and know that, with God, the best days are straight ahead!
Pastor Jordan Biel - Worship and Youth Pastor
I was called into full-time ministry at youth camp at the age of 12. Since then I knew I would only be happy serving Jesus Christ with the rest of my life. In my last years of high school, I began to know that I was definitely called to Youth Ministry and Worship Ministry. After High School, I helped plant a church in Geneva, IL called The Well. After my internship, I went to Pensacola, FL to attend Brownsville Revival School of Ministry (B.R.S.M.). I completed an internship with B.R.S.M. President, Richard Crisco. I also had the privilege to intern with Pastor Tony Hooper and co-produce two Worship CD’s. This really sparked my passion for writing and recording music. In 2004 I graduated B.R.S.M. with an Associates Degree in Worship Ministry & Pastoral Theology. The love of God has driven me to experience His presence every chance I can. My life mission is to take others into His presence through worship and see God change them from the inside out and to see them become what God’s called them to become. This is especially fulfilling in youth ministry. There’s nothing like seeing God shape a young person with His Word and His love. God’s grace has allowed me the privilege of serving with my dad, Pastor Mark Biel, as the Youth and Worship Pastor of Rock of Grace Family Ministries for the last 4 years. I love Clutch Student Ministries and it’s mission to shift gears on this generation – raising up life-long disciples of Jesus Christ! I love doing what God’s called me to do and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world.
As far as family goes, on March 26th 2005, I married my high school sweetheart, Danielle. Our first baby girl, named Selah (pronounced Say La) came along on May 9th this year! She’s so beautiful and growing so much every day! You can see Photos and connect with us on our Facebook page; just search “Jordan Biel” and you’ll find us. Be our “friend”! We love life in the ministry! Nothing is more rewarding than seeing this generation changed by the presence and power of God! Danielle and I have just released our 3rd Worship CD, Come To The Cross and you can check that out at JordanBiel.com or just search “jordan biel” in your iTunes store. Our weekly CSM messages are also available as podcasts in our iTunes store. So many are hearing the gospel and being drawn closer to Christ through our music and we’d love you be apart!
Pastor Mary Prior - Outreach Ministries Pastor
I was invited to come on staff at Rock of Grace Family Ministries in January 2004 as Ministry Coordinator. At that time I was actively pursuing my pastoral credentials through a distance study program, Berean School of the Bible. In December 2004 I was credentialed through Shekinah Ministries and presented as Pastor of Outreach Ministries to the church.
Rock of Grace has been my “home” for many years. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to serve God here among family and friends. In addition to ministry opportunities at “the Rock,” I have had the privilege to travel to various churches to encourage and motivate women across the United States.
I am a single mom with two grown children involved in ministry and one teenager still at home. It is exciting to be on staff at a growing, Spirit-filled church, as every week becomes a new adventure in the Lord.
Pastor Jeremy Burnett - Children's Ministry Pastor
I have known for a long time that I wanted to work with young children. After high school I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in education and I am currently teaching third grade at Bristol Elementary School.
Shortly after entering college, I decided that I wanted to somehow serve God in whatever I was doing. For the past ten years I have been involved in ministry at Rock of Grace. I have served as an adult leader in the youth group, ministered as a deacon, and volunteered in many other areas. For the last year and a half, I have been apart of the ministerial staff as the children’s pastor for our X-Treme Kids ministry.
Feeling the call to ministry in 2005, I began studying for my pastoral credentials with Berean School of the Bible. I completed these courses and am officially credentialed through the Assemblies of God as of June, 2008. I believe God has called me to lead children to him through prayer, worship and teaching. I am excited to be leading this “X-treme” ministry. It has been great getting to know all of the children here at Rock of Grace.
In July of 2003, I married my wife, Natalie, who serves alongside me. In November of 2007, we welcomed our first child, Benjamin. Our daughter, Hadley Gevah, arrived on September 18. As a family we continue to seek God’s will for our lives and the lives of our students. I am so excited about the future that we have to look forward to in life and in ministry.
