PLANT A CHURCH WITH
ROCK OF GRACE

LEVERAGE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Jordan Biel

Lead Pastor
Rock of Grace

We’re excited that you’re possibly interested in planting a church with our network! Below you will find some helpful information and FAQ but the best way to learn more is to hop on one of our scheduled zoom calls. During these calls we can walk you through our process, timelines and goals and give you the opportunity to ask questions and discover if we are the right fit for you.

In 2001, I didn’t realize God was already preparing me for this moment. Right out of high school I helped plant a church in Geneva, IL. What a joy it was to watch curious people find Christ and become committed followers of Jesus! Today, The Well reaches 600 people weekly. During Bible College, 14 years of serving under my dad’s ministry, and traveling to churches to preach or lead worship, I became a student of what made some churches and organizations grow while others didn’t. Why were some churches so effective at reaching the lost while other struggled? I’ve been taking notes on that idea for years and would love to share what I have learned with you about what I call Leverage Leadership.

There are four essentials you need to start your church strong - four areas where you need to place the most time, energy and resources to leverage your church for it’s greatest impact. Let’s reach your city for Jesus!

PLANTING OVERVIEW

We invite you to a zoom call with us then if you decide to take part, there is a six month process of coaching. The coaching is primarily in the pre-launch phase of your church plant and includes 6 meetings, some virtual and some on site with your team. Pastor Dave Brock is our Church-Planting Director. He and I will not only coach you but assist you, ensuring you’re on track to meet the goals we create for a successful launch and successful discipleship plan.

After the six-month training, we continue to meet monthly to be a consistent voice of encouragement and family. This isn’t just a “network” we truly want to be a family for each planting pastor couple.

Your Coaches

Jordan Biel

Pastor Jordan helped Jerry Shaffer start The Well in Geneva, IL, in 2001. Shortly after Bible College, he began his music ministry and reached hundreds of churches around the NE US. In 2010, he began Innovate Records, a music label that still launches Christian artists through songwriting, production, distribution, and marketing. In 2015, he started Kings Home Properties which has a team that has renovated 6 homes and uses its profits to fund orphan care globally. In 2017, after becoming pastor, Jordan launched a multi-campus and church-planting initiative called Transform Trumbull. Our campuses are united in our mission to lead people to follow Jesus together. We aim to equip the saints for the work of the ministry - orphan care, addiction recovery, discipleship and more. We set out to see 140 kids cared for in 10 years. Already, we’ve seen 46 foster children come into care in Rock of Grace families and 10 adoptions in two short years. Jordan wants to share with you what he has learned in taking a dream God’s given you, your vision, and turning it into reality, in particular, a dream for a new church.

David Brock

Pastor Dave helped build ministry teams in Pittsburgh, PA and led training for other ministry leaders and churches in the area. Those teams led the church to see a greater impact on reaching people for Jesus. In 2020, he and his wife joined Rock of Grace to help us in our Transform Trumbull mission. He serves as Executive Pastor and Church Planting Director. He helped build the systems, calendar, and communication with new serve teams at our new Warren Campus and set up operational elements such as computer networking, security cameras, and audio/visual systems. Pastor Dave is an AG Certified Coach and is excited to coach you to greater effectiveness.

We want to reiterate that while we spend most of our time on the practical needs to develop a healthy, Jesus-centered, growing church, we will also spend time as a family praying for one another and being a source of encouragement and strength. Ministry can be hard. Don’t do it alone.

Want to learn more? Sign up for our next informational zoom meeting where we’ll discuss our process on Thursday, May 30th at 1pm, EST. Signing up for the 1 hour zoom call means you simply want to learn more. It does not indicate you are registering for Leverage Leadership coaching program. It’s simply an informational meeting for you to see what we offer and discover if we are the right fit for you.

LEVERAGE LEADERSHIP NETWORK F.A.Q.

  • Do you have to plant in Ohio to be a part of Leverage Leadership Network of Churches?

    • No. While we aim to plant 10 churches in 10 cities in 10 years in our region, we understand that God may bring some pastors into our circle to coach them into greater impact worldwide.

  • Do you have to plant an AG church to be a part of this?

    • No. Pastor Jordan’s years of traveling have given him a panoramic view of the Kingdom of God. While Rock of Grace is an Assemblies of God church and opens AG Campuses, we also work with non-AG churches that align with our values and statement of beliefs.

  • What is the difference between a Campus and a Plant?

    • A Rock of Grace Campus embraces our vision, values, and vehicles of ministry and is staffed by Rock of Grace. Rock of Grace Campuses are one church at multiple locations in the NE Ohio region. *We aim to open another campus in 2025, Lord willing.

    • A church plant is an autonomous church not governed by Rock of Grace or it’s lead pastor, Jordan Biel. Pastors who take part in Leverage Leadership are coached into greater effectiveness but are not governed by Rock of Grace.

  • Does every Leverage Leadership church have to embrace the #EveryChild Initiative of FosterCare and F.A.M. ministries?

    • Part of our long-term vision is mobilizing leaders for social impact. Each pastor who participates in Leverage agrees to champion the cause of #EveryChild by utilizing our promo videos, sharing the vision from the pulpit and implimenting a FAM ministry at their new church. This enables us to multiply the mission we see in James 1:27, creating churches with “true religion” and hearts transformed by the grace of Jesus, seeing believers move from believer to disciple.

  • What if I’m working with ARK or CMN? Can I also take part in Leverage?

    • Yes! Proverbs says, “There is wisdom in a group of counselors.” It is completely permitted and even encouraged to have more than one coach and network. Many new planters seek financial aid and advice from multiple sources as they begin. What makes Leverage unique, we’re finding, is the ongoing monthly meetings where friendship and coaching continue long after the “conference” that ends.
