Handyman Ministry
Handyman Ministry gives the men of Rock of Grace a chance to serve single mothers, widows, elderly, and the disabled in our community. This gives people the opportunity to be safe and comfortable in their homes by providing regular home maintenance and improvement as well as major projects. Currently, Handyman’s Ministry is reaching out to several families in need through every day tasks (from cleaning gutters to changing light bulbs). They also have helped families with major projects such as building wheelchair ramps, replacing and repairing damaged roofs, sealing leaky basements, and putting in an entire bathroom. This is an opportunity to practically apply God’s Word. James 1:27 says “Religion that God, our Father, accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” What good does it do to only talk about serving one another? With HandyMan Ministries, it’s actually happening and the result is exactly what God intended: single moms, the elderly, and those who need our help are taken care of and God is glorified.
