Our praise and worship at Rock of Grace is very unique. Our passion is to experience God's presence. We experience Him corporately when we worship and praise Jesus Christ for dying on the cross for our sins, for rising from the dead and living inside of us, and for everything He's done!  When we acknowledge that He alone is God and He alone is worthy to be praised, there is a supernatural response. God loves to hear His children worshiping Him, adoring Him, lifting His name above all. He loves our worship so much that He responds by lifting us up out of our present circumstances into His presence! Sometimes we experience an attitude of prayer and reverence for His holiness; other times there's a great spirit of joy and thanksgiving. We never quite know what to expect when we meet God!  

We enjoy many styles of worship at "The Rock." Using familiar terms, you could describe our musical styles as blues, rock, gospel, pop, easy listening, as well as a mix of hymns and traditional music. There's a variety of styles because I believe God is a God of variety and we hope to bring everyone of every age into worship. If we did all hymns, the youth may not be able to relate. If we only sang songs written in the last 5 years, the older crowd wouldn't be able to engage. Our goal is to lead every generation into worship together using original songs, hymns, new worship songs heard on the radio, etc because we want every generation to be able to connect.  If you hear something that's not quite your style, that's ok becuase it's probably helping somebody else across the isle because it's their style.  Let's just come ready to give Jesus glory because it's ALL ABOUT HIM! 

We love to be led by the Holy Spirit and often times the Holy Spirit will lead us to sing a different song than we planned, and that's okay, because our goal is not to have a song service, but to have a worship experience with our God.  Our worship songs come from a variety of sources, including: Hillsongs/United Live, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Delirious, Vineyard, and many of Jordan's original music.
